You are not alone.
St Michel is a non-profit organization dedicated to being a source of support for kids and young adults aged 12 to 28 who are contemplating in self-harm, self-mutilation, or have suicidal thoughts.
We assist them by providing a safe space for them to express themselves, be understood, and engage in respectful conversations about their challenges.
This allows them to find a first supportive place based on their daily lives and interests, as well as their way of communication. This manner, we can progressively help to build on their future and further assistance.
The St Michel Foundation was founded after realizing that mental health services for kids, teens, and young adults focused on self-harm or suicidal thoughts are outmoded and influenced by Big Farma.
This contributes to an increase in the number of our youth contemplating or engaging in self-harm, as well as suicide thoughts. By building an online portal that provides information and understanding about how we help and operate, we created an environment in which youth feel comfortable interacting.
When we built this site, we realized it was more important to focus on communication rather than knowledge, which can be found on numerous websites across the internet. Not to mention that we, like all young people nowadays, use social media to build connections and communicate.
But we didn’t forget to provide important information for parents or caregivers, a tool to help get a connection, an understanding on what is going on with their sprouts.
